Hi, I’m John.
(My friends call me Trossey)
Hailing from the ever-evolving city of Orlando, Florida, I grew up with a paintbrush in one hand and a camera in the other. Being accepted in the Visual & Performing Art Magnet Program at Dr. Phillip’s High School expanded my love for art into graphic design where in my senior year I helped teach the Graphic Design 1/Photography 1 class. When I graduated high school I moved on to Florida State University where I worked as a graphic designer for the university as well as an intern at GoConvergence Inc., where I excelled with fortune 500 clients. In 2007 I graduated with a major in Graphic Design and a minor in Advertising & Communication and accepted a position with Carley Corporation working for government clientele designing courseware.
After a 5 year tenure and being chosen as a select number of employees to be part of a new department of the company, I accepted a position with the Foreign Service Institute at the Department of State in Washington D.C. in 2013. Growing into a senior position, being given the chance to revolutionize the way design was produced, and being honored with multiple awards and yearly exemplarily recognitions; I then moved on in 2020 and began working for Deloitte.
With my experience in graphic design and determination for greatness, I have always kept myself busy with freelance work for multiple industries throughout my career and in 2023 decided to take a leap and move to Los Angeles, California and pursue a career as a fashion stylist. Although I have had much success in the fashion world, graphic design will always be something I crave, my first love, and my home.
